RED BACK SPIDER

Redbacks are found in rubbish, under pot rims, drains and unsewered toilets, where they make a loose web.

The female redback spider has long legs, and a large bulbous abdomen with a red stripe on the dorsal surface.The male is very much smaller.

The female will bite, where as the male doesn't. Bites are very painful and toxic, and occur frequently.
