INSPECTION

Regular six monthly to yearly inspections by Austrapest’s licensed and qualified Timber Pest specialist, are environmentally responsible and can save the home owner thousands of dollars by detecting pest problems early. The typed report provided is a very important part of the inspection process as it details any plan of action. As much time and care is taken in the production of the report as the inspection itself.

Austrapest complies with the Australian Standards on Pest inspections – AS 4349.3 - 1998 and Termite Management in and around existing buildings and structures AS 3660.2 - 2000

Your detailed inspection will determine the extent of the problem and will identify the species of termite present if they are attacking the property. A Management program is then created.

Your Austrapest Timber Pest Specialist will check for Termites (white ants), borers and fungal decay in all accessible areas of the property.

In the case of Termites, if the species is one which attacks timber in service, Austrapest inspectors will try to locate the nest. Eradicating the colony and reaching the source of the problem will minimize the impact on the environment.

If activity is found we may recommend a more invasive inspection such as test drilling trees or stumps, borescopic or thermal imaging inspections, removal of wall, floor or ceiling panels to expose entry points or damage.
