Austrapest use a variety of systems

1. AUSTRAPEST recommend you install the Exterra Termite Interception and Baiting System.

The Exterra Termite Interception and Baiting System is designed to provide you with Peace of Mind by intercepting foraging termites and concentrating their feeding in the Exterra stations. The Exterra In-ground Stations containing interceptors are embedded in the soil around the perimeter of your building. Those are inspected on a regular basis until termites are intercepted. Above ground stations can also be used when termites are already present in the building. At this point Exterra Requiem Termite Bait is added to the station. Requiem is a Chitin Synthesis Inhibitor. A key component of a termite's exoskeleton is the substance chitin. Without chitin termites can not complete their natural process. If they do not moult they die. This results in their death and the elimination of the colony whilst avoiding the use of toxic chemicals in the environment. When the colony has been eliminated, the Requiem Bait is removed and fresh timbers interceptors are placed in the stations. These stations continue to be monitored on a regular basis.
